Dr Robin Bagchi, CFA

Robin specialises in leadership dynamics, uniquely blending over three decades of leadership experience with academic research in leadership psychology. His career began at Goldman Sachs, progressing through senior roles in finance, including serving as CEO of a multinational private equity company and his present Chairmanship of a venture capital fund, London Technology Club. Robin’s multi-disciplinary academic journey is marked by a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, an LLB from the London School of Economics and an LLM from Harvard Law School, where he studied as a Fulbright Scholar. He completed his PhD in Leadership Psychology at City St George’s, University of London. He currently holds the positions of Visiting Professor at Bayes (formerly Cass) Business School and Chair of the Advisory Board, Centre for Responsible Leadership, Imperial College Business School, where he is a Fellow of Imperial College. His research focuses on tolerance of uncertainty in leadership including strategies to mitigate burnout and improve leadership well-being, decision-making, and performance. Additionally, Robin is devoted to enhancing resilience through practical self-compassion practices and fostering community cultures within organisations.

Dr Trudi Edginton is the Co-Founder and Head of Psychology at Mindstruck and Co-Director of the Mindstruck Institute. Mindstruck is a new operating holding company with a mission to find, fund and further innovation in primordial prevention; the science of the prevention of the onset of chronic disease. Trudi was Head of the Psychology Department and she is the Co-Director of the Centre of Excellence in Mindfulness Research and a Reader/Associate Professor in Psychology at City St George’s, University of London. Trudi is a Clinical Psychologist, EMDR and CBT therapist and Mindfulness practitioner with clinical and research expertise in Cognitive Neuroscience, Neuropsychology assessment and compassion-focused interventions. Trudi started her professional career as a nurse before completing her Psychology degree and PhD at the University of Sussex exploring cognitive decline in ageing and Alzheimer’s disease. Trudi works clinically with individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury, Hydrocephalus and Spina bifida, Neurodiversity and Trauma.

Dr Julia Yates, CPsychol.

Julia has spent 25 years working in the field of organisational psychology, specialising in career development and career coaching. She has worked as a career coach with a wide range of clients from secondary school pupils to those beyond retirement, and from entry-level graduates to C-suite executives. Julia has spent the last 12 years teaching on MSc programmes in Organisational Psychology. Julia’s research interests are in career development in organisations, and her empirical research focuses predominately on career decision-making and barriers to thriving in the workplace. Her PhD explored the impact that occupational stereotypes have on career choice. Julia writes extensively on the application of theories to practice and has published 24 research papers, 60 professional articles, six book chapters and five books. Julia has delivered more than 100 talks and workshops for organisations and professional bodies, including 50 keynote conference speeches. Julia is a Chartered Psychologist, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Fellow of the National Institute of Career Education and Counselling. She is a Professor of Organisational Psychology and the Deputy Head of the Department of Psychology at City St George’s, University of London.
